Maturi 2008 response to the Ministry of Education

For some weeks on main Bulgarian TV's channels an "ad" about newly introduced matriculation exams has been playing. It is more like a horror movie trailer than anything encouraging students to sit and learn. This is one of the responses to this insult. We are not against matriculation exams. We are against the lack of competency shown in tests preparation from the Ministry;the lack of proper education; the lack of vision for Bulgarian educational system. They were given more than 2mln EUR for exams preparation and have done nothing - the test preparation began in March. The tests are poorly written with many mistakes without any approbation and analysis. There is no evaluation system. No-one knows how the tests will be evaluated. There are not test preparation books approved by the Ministry.
