London, 1899. A mad doctor has subjected orphan girl Sylvia to terrifying brain surgery, wiping her memories and reprogramming her as a high-class call girl. As a waltz plays on a phonograph in the rooms of Lord Ferguson, Sylvia's memories come flooding back, of her life at the orphanage, and of her best friend Leonore.
