2008-07-04

Check out the 2008 Demo Reel for writer/director DANNY DRAVEN. Check out dannydraven.com or myspace.com/dannydraven for more clips and info. Danny Draven's films are each unique in their subject matter. From slashers to robots, to beds that kill, each one has a unique story behind it. His first film, "Horrorvision" (2001) (V), was directed by Draven in 2001 and appeared on the Sci-Fi Channel in a program called "Full Moon Fright Night" (2002), in which Star Trek legend William Shatner hosted the Horrorvision episode. The second film, "Hell Asylum" (2002) (V) took audiences deep inside a haunted asylum filled with gore & guts and hot girls, and marked a working relationship with Joe Estevez and scream queen Brinke Stevens. The third film, "Cryptz" (2002) (V), took audiences into the hood for a unique and comedic look at a vampire bar filled with blood thirsty strippers. In Draven's fourth directorial film, "Stuart Gordon presents Deathbed" (2002) (V), he started a working relationship with his mentor and friend, the Master of Horror himself Stuart Gordon (Re-Animator, King of the Ants, Fortress), who served as executive producer on the film. In his fifth film, Draven teamed up with producer/actor Chuck Williams (Near Dark, Bubba Ho-Tep) to make "Dark Walker" (2003) (V), a film that takes us into the strange life of haunted house attractions and the real life demons who wreak havoc at them. Draven's newest addition is a 35mm production called GHOST MONTH (2007), which is based on real Asian folklore and customs. This is the flagship production for Draven's production company Darkworld Pictures. In October 2007, Draven won the title "Best Director" at the Chicago Horror Film Fest for his directing effort in "Ghost Month".
