" Ok, I will admit it's a little creepier the second time around."
Abby looked at me and laughed.
" Right, and it has nothing to do with the fact that it's dark?"
I shuddered.
" That could be another reason."
Nick came and wrapped his arms around me.
" Don't be afraid."
I laughed and snuggled closer.
" Well I'm not anymore."
Kevin, Abby and Joe rolled their eyes and Kevin grabbed a video camera.
" Who gets one?"
Abby took one.
" You and Joe can have a camera."
She took the other video camera and handed it to me.
" I'm sure you two want to be paired up."
Nick laughed.
" So you're going to be alone?"
Abby laughed also.
" Yeah, but if I start screaming someone sure as hell better come save me."
I looked at the rest of the stuff. I picked up the three other camera's and handed one to Abby, one to Kevin and I kept one for me and Nick.
" What are we doing with the recorders?"
Joe grabbed one.
" We should put one in Rebecca's room."
Abby nodded.
" And one in the kitchen."
I looked at her confused.
" Why?"
Abby rolled her eyes.
" Wish you would have been listening now, huh?"
I sighed.
" Just tell me what happens in there."
Abby put the flashlight to her face.
" That's where Robert cut off his children's heads and put them in the oven!"
I scrunched up my nose.
" Ewwww. That's so gross!"
Abby laughed.
" Just kidding. Actually, they say that sometimes you can hear Robert sharpening his knives."
I nodded my head and looked down.
" You're fly's open."
Abby looked down and shined the flashlight on her pants.
" What? No it's...."
She shined the light in my laughing face.
" Funny Callee."
Joe turned on the recorder.
" Alright, can we get started?"
Abby nodded.
" You and Kevin go upstairs. Nick and Callee, stay on this floor and I'll go in the basement."
She looked at Joe.
" Don't forget to put that recorder in Rebecca's room."
Joe saluted her.
" Aye aye captain!"
Abby put her hand out in front of her and we all piled our hands on top of hers. Abby smiled.
" To ghost hunting!"
We all smiled.
" To ghost hunting!"
Nick and I walked into the kitchen and I set the recorder on the counter.
" This is stupid. There's no such thing as ghosts."
Nick held up the camera.
" Smile!"
I smiled and Nick took the picture.
" Ow!!! The flash is, like, ten times worse in the dark!"
Nick laughed.
" Sorry."
I took the video camera and walked around the kitchen. I laughed when I put the camera on Nick.
" I love you, but I'm sorry, you look really ugly in night vision."
Nick laughed too.
" Let me see you then."
I handed him the camera and he looked at me with it.
" Nah, I still think you're beautiful."
" Awwww."
I kissed him and he handed the camera back to me. He then took a couple of pictures around the kitchen.
" What other rooms are on this floor?"
I thought back on what I'd seen earlier.
" I think the kids' bedrooms are on this floor."
Nick grinned.
" Let's go check them out."
